The oldest institution in the state and one of the top public research universities in the world is the institution of Michigan. The university is known for its consistently strong rankings across all schools and departments as well as its genuine emphasis on the individual. Even though it’s located in a smaller city, there are tons of opportunities—especially for Ross MBA applicants.

 Financing at Ross School of business scholarships 

For the academic year 2023–2024, tuition is $70,392 for citizens of Michigan and $75,392 for non-residents. After factoring in textbook costs, living expenses, and other personal expenses, Ross calculates that the total cost of attendance for in-state students is $98,150, while for out-of-state students it is $103,150.

Students who are accepted are automatically considered for scholarships to assist pay for their study; no further application is required. These scholarships, which range in value from $10,000 to full tuition, are given out based on applicants’ academic, professional, and personal achievements as well as their potential to benefit the community. Additionally, Ross provides scholarships through the Frederick A. and Barbara M. Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise and the Tauber Institute for Global Operations.

Reward: Full tuition and an annual stipend for educational travel, leadership development, and other expenses.

Reward: Full tuition and networking opportunities with senior alumni and faculty.

  1. Health Innovation Scholars Program

Reward: Full tuition and professional development funding for students pursuing healthcare careers.

  1. Forté MBA Fellowship

Reward: Professional development opportunities for women in business, attached to a merit-based scholarship.

  1. Yellow Ribbon Program

Reward: Covers unmet tuition needs for eligible post-9/11 GI Bill students (no cap on number or costs).

  1. The Consortium Fellowship

Reward: Merit-based scholarship for increasing representation of African American, Hispanic American, and Native American students.

There are also need-based scholarships available, and applicants must file the FAFSA in order to be taken into consideration. Students can be assured of ongoing support throughout their MBA journey by receiving updates on new scholarships from the Ross Financial Aid Office on a regular basis.

Ross Business School Admissions Requirements 

Like many MBA programs, there are three total application rounds. While each round is open to all students, international students are encouraged to apply in the first two rounds due to evolving visa processing times.

If international applicants were to apply in round three, it wouldn’t be possible to apply with enough time to obtain visas for the following fall semester. Below, we’ll cover Ross’ admissions requirements.

  1. Undergraduate degree.
  2. Standardized tests such as GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition, GRE, MCAT, LSAT, PCAT, or DAT.
  3. Resume.
  4. Two essays.
  5. One letter of recommendation.
  6. Interview.
  7. $200 application fee.

While an average GPA of 3.43 is in the class profile, there is no minimum GPA requirement for the Ross School of Business application.

Depending on when the reapplication is submitted, there are modest variations in the requirements for candidates. You can submit an abridged application if you applied during the previous year’s application round.
